How a game changed the way I think and do
Around 2019, Arknights the game launched on mobile. I pre-installed on my phone back then. It became one of my favourite mobile game of all time. Long story short, the repetitive nature and its highly “AFK”-able made me leave the game after around 1 year of play time. Fast forward to today, Hypergryph (the developer of the original Arknights) have launched a new game in the Arknights world. “Arknights: Endfield”.
I really love the UI design from the Arknights franchise. It looks futuristic yet simple and minimalistic. That’s why I fell in love with the original Arknights game. And today, I fell in love again with the Arknights: Endfield UI design. After playing Arknights: Endfield for some time (from the release date until now), I then took an interest in engineering–the main lore of the game.
As mentioned earlier, I fell in love with the Arknights: Endfield UI design and engineering theme. The gameplay is different from its first franchise in that the original is a tower defense gacha game while the current one is more of a third-person open world action RPG gacha game (that’s a long genre list for a game, for sure, but … whatever).
